Hunger strikes beyond our control. We occasionally gravitate towards the fridge after dark. When that happens, we can eat things that fulfil our hunger and improve sleep. There are more ways to enter dreamland than a warm glass of milk, but the childhood staple is still on the list.
You could eat oranges and grapefruits as a snack, but save them for drinks and meals earlier in the day. They can be hard on the digestive system and cause indigestion that makes it hard to sleep.
